{"id":58820,"date":"2025-08-10T09:24:07","date_gmt":"2025-08-10T09:24:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/58820\/"},"modified":"2025-08-10T09:24:07","modified_gmt":"2025-08-10T09:24:07","slug":"influencer-emilie-kisers-husband-brady-allegedly-placed-25-bet-on-knicks-playoff-game-before-sons-fatal-drowning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/58820\/","title":{"rendered":"Influencer Emilie Kiser&#8217;s husband Brady allegedly placed $25 bet on Knicks playoff game before son&#8217;s fatal drowning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The husband of <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/05\/21\/us-news\/tiktok-influencer-emilie-kiser-shared-emotional-video-about-motherhood-days-before-sons-death\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">TikTok influencer Emilie Kiser<\/a> allegedly placed a $25 bet on a New York Knicks playoff game over an hour before his toddler son\u2019s fatal drowning.<\/p>\n<p>Brady Kiser had his attention \u201cdivided\u201d between taking care of his two young sons and Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals between the Knicks and Celtics at the time of 3-year-old Trigg Kiser\u2019s drowning on May 12, according to a<a href=\"https:\/\/s3.documentcloud.org\/documents\/26045948\/8-8-25-police-report-court-ordered-redactions-redacted.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"> Chandler Police Department report.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Police <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/05\/19\/us-news\/tiktok-influencer-emilie-kisers-son-3-dead-after-being-discovered-unconscious-in-pool\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">found that little Trigg<\/a> was unsupervised in the family\u2019s Chandler, Ariz., backyard for more than 9 minutes and was \u201cin the water for 7 of those minutes,\u201d the report first <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/new-details-revealed-about-influencer-emilie-kisers-son-triggs-death-sports-bet-police-11783683\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">obtained by People<\/a> and made public on Aug. 8 revealed.<\/p>\n<p>Brady Kiser with his son, Trigg, before the tot\u2019s drowning on May 12, 2025. @emiliekiser\/Instagram<\/p>\n<p>The 28-year-old father detailed to police that he was inside his home with his newborn son, Theodore, while <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/06\/10\/us-news\/tiktok-influencer-emilie-kiser-was-not-home-at-the-time-of-her-3-year-old-sons-drowning-report\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Emilie Kiser had gone out with her friends<\/a> 20 minutes from their home.<\/p>\n<p>An investigation into the tragic death found Kiser placed a $25 bet with popular sports betting platform DraftKings at 5:14 p.m., 75 minutes before <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/06\/02\/us-news\/tiktok-influencer-emilie-kisers-brother-offers-heartfelt-reflection-after-3-year-old-nephews-death\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Trigg was spotted outside<\/a> by a security camera, according to Kiser\u2019s phone data.<\/p>\n<p>The wager was for Celtics star Jayson Tatum scoring over 40 points in the game against the Knicks. NBAE via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Chandler Police officers rushed to the home and performed CPR on Trigg, who had been moved into the house when they arrived.<\/p>\n<p>First responders transported the lifeless toddler to Chandler Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on May 18.<\/p>\n<p>Follow-up interviews found Kiser wasn\u2019t truthful about how long Trigg was unsupervised.<\/p>\n<p>Emilie Kiser with son, Trigg, after a swim in the pool. @emiliekiser\/Instagram<\/p>\n<p>Kiser initially told police that his son was left alone outside for 5 minutes, but investigators discovered the toddler had not been watched for over 10 minutes. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI didn\u2019t have a clock, obviously, I don\u2019t know the exact time, but it was moments, it wasn\u2019t minutes it was moments, it wasn\u2019t that he had been out of sight for long,\u201d Kiser told police during his first interview.<\/p>\n<p>Police accused Kiser of not watching his son because the father couldn\u2019t answer questions related to his son\u2019s movement before the drowning.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBrady\u2019s statements do not match what is seen on the video; he did not accurately describe one thing [Trigg] did after he went outside. This leads to the conclusion that Brady was not aware of what [Trigg] was doing and was not watching him. The combination of these factors led to drowning, and a remedy to any of the contributing circumstances could have prevented the outcome,\u201d the report stated.<\/p>\n<p>Brady Kiser was not criminally charged in his son\u2019s drowning death. @emiliekiser\/Instagram<\/p>\n<p>Detectives concluded that<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/06\/17\/us-news\/tiktok-influencer-emilie-kisers-husband-told-cops-he-was-distracted-as-their-tot-drowned-in-pool-report\/?utm_campaign=nypost&amp;utm_medium=referral\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> Kiser\u2019s attention was \u201cdivided\u201d <\/a>and was not watching \u201c[Trigg] at all during the critical times mentioned.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring two interviews, he did not know what [Trigg] was doing before he fell in and did not see [Trigg] struggling to swim,\u201d police said. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo evidence suggests that Brady saw [Trigg] in the pool and failed to act.
