We have a stacked slate tonight with some games that are going to be heavy smash spots with the Vegas Golden Knights, Minnesota Wild, Dallas Stars, and I’d argue with the Montreal Canadiens as well. We also have matchups that we’ve seen recently here as well that can shake things up.<\/p>\n
Slate Preview<\/p>\n
Detroit Red Wings<\/p>\n
The Red Wings have dropped two straight, but the Columbus Blue Jackets have lost six in a row, so I’m leaning toward Detroit tonight. If that’s the case, Alex DeBrincat<\/a> ($7,600) becomes a priority one\u2011off in any entry size. He’s been oddly quiet with just one shot in each of the last two games\u2014likely part of why Detroit has two L’s\u2014but before that he posted four or more shots in five straight. If you want to make a Detroit stack, I’d say maybe just add in all three priced up Red Wings skaters in DeBrincat, Moritz Seider<\/a> ($6,600), and Dylan Larkin<\/a> ($6,300), and build outward from there. <\/p>\n Philadelphia Flyers<\/p>\n The Flyers have quietly owned the New Jersey Devils, winning eight of their last 10 meetings, including two games this season where they scored five or more goals. They’re also sitting in a playoff spot. I love the top six here, and the direction depends on your salary needs. If I’m choosing one line, I give the edge to the top unit with Tyson Foerster<\/a> ($4,200) \u2013 Trevor Zegras<\/a> ($5,300) \u2013 and Owen Tippett<\/a> ($5,900). With so many obvious chalk spots tonight, going to Philly is a great way to build uniquely while still having real upside. If I’m picking one expensive group to lean into, it’s the Wild. I considered Montreal, but they’re taking more penalties than I’d like, and they’re not the ones facing the Seattle Kraken on a back\u2011to\u2011back. I usually only stack Minnesota when I’m pairing Kirill Kaprizov<\/a> ($9,000) with Matt Boldy<\/a> ($8,700), but tonight I’m comfortable focusing on the top line alone. Ryan Hartman<\/a> ($5,500) is on a six-game point streak, with Mats Zuccarello<\/a> ($5K) and Kaprizov on four-game point streaks. The Wild are in a premium spend\u2011up spot and have a strong chance to put up enough offense to justify the price. \u00a0<\/p>\n Defense<\/p>\n Evan Bouchard<\/a> is at the top for me at $7,900becausehe’s been active for the Edmonton Oilers on offense which may play out well against the Utah Mammoth tonight. Roman Josi<\/a> at $6,800 might be a steal with points in his last two games and providing plenty of volume on the Nashville Predators’ blue line right now. Tampa Bay is on the slate, so we of course have to mention Darren Raddysh<\/a> at $6,700, if I’m playing him, it’s probably with some sort of Tampa Bay Lightning stack. Middle price, I like Brandon Montour<\/a> a fair bit at $5,100, and with or without a Flyers stack, Travis Sanheim<\/a> makes my list of d-men. He’s gone up in price sitting now at $4,500 but is in a good spot tonight. For a cheaper option, I’d look to Ryan McDonagh<\/a> at $3K. \u00a0<\/p>\n Goalies<\/p>\n I only have four that I’m considering tonight, the first being a spend up option in Carter Hart<\/a> at $8,400. He has looked good in both of his games since not starting since January and is in a great spot for a shutout against the Vancouver Canucks. Jakub Dobes<\/a> at $8,200 might not be where I land in single-entry, but if he makes his way into your lineup, I wouldn’t discourage it at all.
