A.J. Brown\u2019s future in Philadelphia is an uncertain one. That\u2019s no secret.<\/p>\n

If the Eagles<\/a> will decide to trade Brown over the offseason is one of the biggest questions in the entire NFL and has been a consistent talking point for weeks.<\/p>\n

Eagles land Washington WR Denzel Boston in first round of ESPN mock draft<\/p>\n

If the Eagles ultimately do move Brown, they\u2019ll need to identify some sort of a replacement, and that\u2019s exactly what they did in the first round of the latest 2026 NFL mock draft<\/a> from ESPN\u2019s Peter Schrager.<\/p>\n

In his mock, Schrager has the Birds selecting Washington wide receiver Denzel Boston, who is viewed as one of the better receivers in the draft. His addition could help to offset the loss of a player like Brown.<\/p>\n

\u201cBoston is electric, and Washington coach Jedd Fisch and Eagles general manager Howie Roseman are longtime college buddies. Some NFL sources I have spoken to have Boston as the second or third wideout in this class,\u201d Schrager wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd if the Eagles take him, A.J. Brown’s future becomes all the more interesting and will undoubtedly hit the A Block on \u2018Get Up\u2019 on Friday morning coming out of the draft.\u201d<\/p>\n

The problem for the Eagles is that if they take a wide receiver in the first round of the draft, it will likely telegraph their intentions to trade Brown, which could hurt their leverage as a result. That is, of course, unless Brown is traded prior to the draft, which seems pretty unlikely at this point.<\/p>\n

The Eagles also have other major needs to address in the draft, including at the safety and edge rusher positions, so there\u2019s no guarantee that they\u2019d want to use their lone first round pick on a receiver anyway.<\/p>\n

With nine total picks in the draft though, it seems extremely likely that the Eagles will use at least one of those picks on a receiver.<\/p>\n
