{"id":588733,"date":"2026-04-07T20:27:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-07T20:27:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/588733\/"},"modified":"2026-04-07T20:27:08","modified_gmt":"2026-04-07T20:27:08","slug":"silver-for-2-surrey-wrestlers-at-u17-pan-am-championships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/588733\/","title":{"rendered":"Silver for 2 Surrey wrestlers at U17 Pan-Am Championships"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>              Silver for 2 Surrey wrestlers at U17 Pan-Am Championships<\/p>\n<p class=\"pubStamp\">Published 12:00 pm Tuesday, April 7, 2026<\/p>\n<p>Surrey wrestlers were among Team Canada\u2019s 11 medal-winners at the 2026 U17 Pan-Am Championships.<\/p>\n<p>Canadians earned one gold (Ontario\u2019s Jerin Coles in 71kg in Men\u2019s Freestyle), five silver and five bronze at the three-day tournament, held April 2-4 in Panama City, Panama.<\/p>\n<p>Surrey\u2019s Uday Billen earned the first silver at 110kg, going 3-1 in round-robin matches and finishing with the second-best record.<\/p>\n<p>Among women, fellow Surreyite Gurleen Dhillon earned silver in the 57kg division.
