Rapper Lil Tjay has been arrested in connection with the shooting of , who was struck by a bullet outside a Florida hotel and casino on Monday.<\/p>\n

Lil Tjay, whose real name is Tione Jayden Merritt, was booked on a disorderly conduct charge, according to Broward County Jail arrest records. As of Tuesday morning, he was being held on a $500 bail. He was also charged with a traffic violation that carries a $2,500 bond, .<\/p>\n

A\u00a0lawyer for Lil Tjay, Dawn M. Florio, said in that claiming her client was involved in the shooting was based on \u201cfalse rumors.\u201d<\/p>\n

She said Lil Tjay was not shot, nor did he shoot Offset. She also denied his involvement in the shooting.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the Seminole Police Department, Gary Bitney, said the incident started as a fight and that police detained a second person at the scene, who has not been charged.<\/p>\n

According to his representative, the rapper, who was part of the group Migos, is being treated at a hospital and closely monitored.<\/p>\n

The Seminole Police Department said earlier on Tuesday that a person had sustained non-life-threatening injuries on Monday evening at a valet area outside of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Fla.<\/p>\n

Two people were detained in relation to the incident, and officials are investigating, officials said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe site is secure, and there is no threat to the public,\u201d it added. \u201cOperations continue as normal.\u201d<\/p>\n
