{"id":589129,"date":"2026-04-08T00:32:10","date_gmt":"2026-04-08T00:32:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/589129\/"},"modified":"2026-04-08T00:32:10","modified_gmt":"2026-04-08T00:32:10","slug":"brampton-double-shooting-suspect-charged","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/589129\/","title":{"rendered":"Brampton double shooting: suspect charged"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>19-year-old Naesean Okoko has been arrested in the double shooting that happened Monday morning in Brampton. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cp24.com\/local\/peel\/2026\/04\/06\/two-men-seriously-injured-in-brampton-shooting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.cp24.com\/local\/peel\/2026\/04\/06\/two-men-seriously-injured-in-brampton-shooting\/\">a shooting in Brampton on Monday<\/a> that left two people seriously injured.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Peel police said the shooting occurred in the area of Central Park Drive and Glenvale Boulevard shortly before noon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">When officers arrived, they located a 21-year-old man with serious but non-life-threatening injuries and a 25-year-old man in life-threatening condition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police said both victims were taken to the hospital, where they are now recovering.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Meanwhile, the suspect, identified as 19-year-old Naesean Okoko, was arrested a few minutes after police arrived.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">In a news release on Tuesday, they said Okoko was charged with attempted murder using a firearm, aggravated assault, possession of opioid and six firearm-related offences.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"19-year-old Naesean Okoko has been arrested in the double shooting that happened Monday morning in Brampton.
