It was for Danielle Smith. Not everything she does is fine with me but she hits the nail on the head with lots. So to all the activist teacher, students and crazies against Bill 25, this is exactly what I voted for and I am very happy to see this bill come.<\/p>\n Article content<\/p>\n Recommended Videos<\/p>\n Article content<\/p>\n Ryan Walker<\/p>\n (It\u2019s perhaps unfair to call people who disagree with the legislation \u2018crazies,\u2019 as you suggest.)<\/p>\n Hosed at the pumps<\/p>\n While many countries are lowering or eliminating taxes on gas temporarily to help consumers, Prime Minister Mark Carney is simply \u201cmonitoring the situation\u201d. How kind of him. His Liberals are responsible for the mess this country has become. Many Canadians are having a hard time keeping a roof over their heads and food on the table, yet all he will do is monitor the high gas prices. When will Canadians wake up? Carney\u2019s not going to do anything to help the suffering unless it benefits him. This is not leadership. Canada could be self-sufficient as far as oil production goes and we don\u2019t belong to OPEC so there\u2019s no excuse for Canadians to be paying the price we are at the pumps. The U.S. refines most of our oil even though we have at least 16 refineries in operation; unfortunately not many are equipped to handle the heavy crude. Why isn\u2019t Carney actually investing in Canada? He claims he is, but those are only words.<\/p>\n Advertisement 3<\/p>\n This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below.<\/p>\n Article content<\/p>\n Sandy Johnston<\/p>\n (Spending money to reduce how reliant we are on the U.S. would be money very well spent.)<\/p>\n Frustrated French Canadians<\/p>\n I recently read comments on the subject of Michael Rousseau\u2019s lack of French in his condolence speech following the deaths of the two Air Canada pilots at LaGuardia Airport in New York. People said things like hissy fit, petty and childish. Last time I checked, Canada is still a bilingual country, the two official languages being English and French. It is this type of condescending and arrogant attitude that so frustrates French Canadians.
