Behind the Decathlon talent, however, many more riders are busy with their preparation for what is still to come. One such rider is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idlprocycling.com\/ben-tulett\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Ben Tulett<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idlprocycling.com\/visma-lease-a-bike\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Visma | Lease a Bike<\/a>, who finished fifth on Tuesday, gaining a confidence boost.<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"280\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/paul-seixas-3-69d540bf31e75.jpg@webp.webp\" class=\"w-auto h-auto\" alt=\"paul-seixas-3\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Paul Seixas won the second stage of the Tour of the Basque Country on Tuesday<\/p>\n<p>Sports Director Frans Maassen satisfied: &#8216;Ben did very well today&#8217;What we saw on TV, Tulett saw himself too. &#8216;It was a great battle with the other GC contenders and I am looking forward to the coming days.&#8217; Those <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idlprocycling.com\/cycling\/favourites-stage-3-tour-of-the-basque-country-2026-classics-riders-against-gc-men-on-explosive-finish\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">coming days<\/a> are anything but easy, as it actually never is in the Tour of the Basque Country. However, Wednesday appears to be the least difficult stage of the six-day race.Explosive stage 3 finish<a href=\"https:\/\/itzulia.eus\/en\/stages\/basauri-basauri\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">The third stage<\/a> will take place in and around the town of Basauri, which is situated just south of Bilbao. With 2,800 metres of elevation gain it is unlikely to be a straightforward run back into Basauri.<\/p>\n<p>With three categorised climbs and an uphill finish, expect to see a fight between the classics specialists and the explosive GC men.
