On Sunday, Chastain will make his 12th NASCAR Cup Series start at Bristol Motor Speedway. Since driving the No. 1 Chevrolet for Trackhouse Racing, Chastain has recorded four top\u201115 finishes on the concrete surface. Adding to the fishing theme, Chastain recently won the Bassmaster Celebrity Pro\u2011Am Tournament at Lake Douglas on March 12, pairing with Elite Series pro David Mullins for a combined weight of 18 pounds, 2 ounces.<\/p>\n
Chastain will pull double duty this weekend, piloting the No. 45 Chevrolet Silverado for Niece Motorsports in Friday\u2019s NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race. In his most recent Truck Series start at Darlington Raceway, Chastain finished runner\u2011up. He will also join the Performance Racing Network radio booth on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. ET for the NASCAR O\u2019Reilly Auto Parts Series broadcast.<\/p>\n
Fans will have several opportunities to meet Chastain throughout the weekend, beginning with autograph sessions at Food City in Piney Flats on Saturday afternoon, additional signings at the Trackhouse Racing merchandise hauler, and Fan Zone Q&A appearances on both Saturday and Sunday.<\/p>\n
This weekend also marks a new chapter for the No. 1 team with Brandon McSwain serving as Chastain\u2019s crew chief. McSwain joined Trackhouse Racing in December and previously worked as lead race engineer for William Byron at Hendrick Motorsports. Chastain qualified 18th and led 14 laps at Martinsville two weeks ago before finishing 16th.<\/p>\n
