{"id":590596,"date":"2026-04-08T16:45:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-08T16:45:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/590596\/"},"modified":"2026-04-08T16:45:08","modified_gmt":"2026-04-08T16:45:08","slug":"francisco-partners-to-buy-calgary-based-blackline-safety","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/590596\/","title":{"rendered":"Francisco Partners to buy Calgary-based Blackline Safety"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"b-date-custom__date-item\">Updated:\u00a0April 08, 2026 at 11:58AM EDT<\/p>\n<p class=\"b-date-custom__date-item\">Published:\u00a0April 08, 2026 at 11:25AM EDT<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bnnbloomberg.ca\/stock\/BLN:CT\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.bnnbloomberg.ca\/stock\/BLN:CT\/\">Blackline Safety Corp.<\/a> has signed an agreement to be bought by technology investment firm Francisco Partners Management LP in a deal worth up to $850 million.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Under the agreement, Francisco Partners will pay up to $9.50 per share for the Calgary-based company focused on safety technology.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Blackline chair and chief executive Cody Slater says Francisco Partners provides the financial strength, sector expertise and shared vision to continue the company\u2019s growth and strengthen its technology leadership.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Under the agreement, Francisco Partners will pay $9 per share in cash on closing.
