Infinite<\/a> revealed the main trailer on Sunday for the television anime<\/a> of Sai Naekawa<\/a>‘s This Monster Wants to Eat Me<\/a> (Watashi o Tabetai, Hito de nashi<\/a>) manga. The video reveals that the anime will debut on AT-X<\/a> on October 2 at 10:30 p.m., and will air later that evening on Tokyo MX<\/a>, Sun TV<\/a>, and BS NTV<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The below video has English and other subtitles that can be toggled on.<\/p>\n

The video also reveals and previews Yoshino<\/a>‘s opening theme song “nie” (“Sacrifice”). The staff also revealed that Reina Ueda<\/a> as her character Hinako will perform the ending theme song “LiLy.”<\/p>\n

The anime hosted its U.S. premiere of episode one at Otakon<\/a> on Friday. Crunchyroll<\/a> will stream<\/a> the series as it airs worldwide excluding Asia.<\/p>\n

The series will star:\n<\/p>\n

Naoyuki Kuzuya<\/a> (Saiyuki Gaiden<\/a>) is the chief director and Y\u016bsuke Suzuki<\/a> (Duel Masters Win<\/a>, Duel Masters King Max<\/a>) is directing the anime at Studio Lings<\/a>. Mitsutaka Hirota<\/a> (Bibliophile Princess<\/a>, Days With My Stepsister<\/a>) is overseeing and writing the series scripts, Nozomi Ikuyama<\/a> (Duel Masters King<\/a> key animation) is designing the characters, Ry\u014dsuke Naya<\/a> (365 Days to the Wedding<\/a>, Love Is Indivisible by Twins<\/a>) is the sound director, and Keiji Inai<\/a> (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?<\/a> all five seasons) is composing the music. The company Infinite is producing.<\/p>\n

\u201cI’ve come to eat you.\u201d So softly utters the mermaid Shiori as she emerges from the sea and takes high school girl Hinako by the hand. Naekawa launched the manga in Kadokawa<\/a>‘s Dengeki Maoh<\/a> magazine in 2020. Kadokawa published the manga’s first compiled book volume in 2021, and released the 10th volume on May 27.<\/p>\n
