The next generation of physicians will now be able to advance their education and training at a new Brampton-based learning centre.<\/p>\n
William Osler Health System has officially opened the Academic Learning Centre at Brampton Civic Hospital, an operation considered an important milestone in clinical education and the future health care workforce serving the region.<\/p>\n
The Academic Learning Centre was created to provide a modern, dedicated space for residents and learners to collaborate, study and train at Brampton Civic Hospital, and Osler\u2019s role as a leading teaching hospital system. A second Academic Learning Centre at Etobicoke General Hospital is scheduled to open later this year.<\/p>\n
Designed to foster collaboration, reflection and professional development, the Academic Learning Centre supports learners as they gain hands-on experience in Osler\u2019s fast-paced hospital environment and reflects its long-term strategy to attract and retain future physicians in the community.<\/p>\n

With a history of supporting physician and clinician training and as the primary clinical partner of TMU\u2019s School of Medicine, hospital officials say Osler plays a leading role in advancing medical education in Ontario.<\/p>\n
