title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/washington-capitals\/15\" target=\"_blank\">Washington Capitals<\/a> in the first period after suffering a lower-body injury while making a save.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">G Anthony Stolarz (lower body) will not return to tonight\u2019s game.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Leafs PR (@LeafsPR) <a out his left leg to make a stop and immediately began writhing in pain in the crease.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The 32-year-old was attended to by the team\u2019s medical staff and was eventually helped off the ice and into the locker room.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/joseph-woll\/8479361\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/joseph-woll\/8479361\" target=\"_blank\">Joseph Woll<\/a> took over in net for the Maple Leafs at the 2:34 mark of the opening frame.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Stolarz was making his 26th appearance of the season for the Leafs and entered the game with a 10-10-3 record and a 3.29 goals-against average.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The Edison, New Jersey native is in his second season in Toronto after he joined the team as a free agent in July of 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Maple Leafs have been eliminated from postseason contention and entered play tied with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/florida-panthers\/13\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/florida-panthers\/13\" target=\"_blank\">Florida Panthers<\/a> for last in the Atlantic Division with 78 points.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The Leafs also announced that defenceman <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/brandon-carlo\/8478443\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/brandon-carlo\/8478443\" target=\"_blank\">Brandon Carlo<\/a> (lower body) and forward <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/dakota-joshua\/8478057\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/dakota-joshua\/8478057\" target=\"_blank\">Dakota Joshua<\/a> (upper body) would not finish Wednesday\u2019s game against the Capitals.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">D Brandon Carlo (lower body) and F Dakota Joshua (upper body) will not return to tonight\u2019s game.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Leafs PR (@LeafsPR) <a 12:07, took 19 shifts and registered one shot on goal before leaving the game.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The 29-year-old was skating in his 54th game of the season for the Leafs and has contributed seven assists.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Joshua had 8:30 of ice time before departing the action and collected two hits and one shot on goal against the Capitals.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The Dearborn, Michigan native has 10 goals and eight assists for the Leafs in 55 games this season, his first with the franchise.<\/p>\n<p><script async
