The Edmonton Oilers<\/a> finished their game against the San Jose Sharks without their starting goaltender. <\/p>\n

Connor Ingram<\/a> did not come out for the third period of Wednesday’s game and was ruled out.<\/p>\n

Tristan Jarry took to the crease in relief for the final frame, as Ingram was seen<\/a> sitting as the backup goaltender shortly after the third began. <\/p>\n

Midway through the third, Ingram took to the ice during a TV timeout to briefly stretch, but ultimately remained in the backup seat. <\/p>\n

Prior to exiting, Ingram allowed two goals on 10 shots. The Oilers led 5-2. <\/p>\n

After the game, Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch told reporters that Ingram “felt some discomfort” and, after testing, decided not to play the third period.<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old from Saskatoon has appeared in 28 games for the Oilers this season after joining the team on a professional tryout. In that time, he’s recorded a 2.78 goals-against average and a .895 save percentage. <\/p>\n

Forward Jason Dickinson<\/a> also exited the game in the third period. He was helped off the ice after taking a shot to the foot. Prior to exiting, the 30-year-old played 12:06. <\/p>\n

Knoblauch had no update on Dickinson’s condition for reporters. <\/p>\n
