He recorded an assist, his 69th of the season, on a Connor McDavid power-play goal. <\/p>\n<p class=\"tweet-body_root__YlarM\" lang=\"en\" dir=\"auto\">Connor McDavid with his 45th goal this season ties it up at 1! \u261d\ufe0f<\/p>\n<p>\ud83c\udfa5 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Sportsnet\" class=\"tweet-link_root__lkS8f\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">@Sportsnet<\/a> <\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg\">He would record another assist on another McDavid goal in the second period to increase his career-high assist total to 70, which combined with his 21 goals gives him 91 points on the year. <\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg\">Bouchard is just the fifth NHL defender in the post-2005 lockout era to reach the 90-point mark in a single season, joining Erik Karlsson, Cale Makar, Quinn Hughes and Roman Josi. <\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg\">Coffey was the last Oilers defender to reach 90 points in a season, hitting the mark four times during his seven years in Edmonton. He finished the 1985-86 campaign with career highs in all offensive categories, scoring 48 goals and adding 90 assists for 138 points. <\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg\">Heading into Wednesday night, Bouchard, 26, had 76 goals and 251 assists for 327 points in 425 career regular-season games. He also has 20 goals and 61 assists for 81 points in 75 Stanley Cup Playoff games. <\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg\">A native of Oakville, Ont., Bouchard was taken No. 10 overall in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft by the Oilers.
