{"id":592884,"date":"2026-04-09T17:02:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-09T17:02:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/592884\/"},"modified":"2026-04-09T17:02:08","modified_gmt":"2026-04-09T17:02:08","slug":"man-charged-after-2-men-shot-during-brampton-carjacking-1-at-large","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/592884\/","title":{"rendered":"Man charged after 2 men shot during Brampton carjacking, 1 at-large"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">A 19-year-old man is facing multiple charges, including attempted murder, following a carjacking in Brampton where two victims were shot, police say.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The incident happened just before noon on April 6 near Central Park Drive and Glenvale Boulevard, just west of Torbram Road.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Investigators say two suspects attempted to carjack a vehicle with two occupants and at some point during the incident the victims were shot. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The victims were, however, able to flee in the vehicle, police said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">One of the victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries while the other remains in hospital in critical condition. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cFollowing a foot pursuit, a male suspect was arrested.
