An Ottawa man is facing additional prison time on intimate partner violence charges.<\/p>\n
Following guilty pleas to these counts, Justice Jeffery Richardson sentenced Ogene Olimi to a six-year jail sentence on charges including, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, assault by choking, uttering death threats, forcible confinement and failing to comply with probation.<\/p>\n
After being given credit for 15 months of time spent in pre-trial custody, Olimi was sentenced to a further five years in the penitentiary.<\/p>\n
Olimi was also ordered to give a sample of his DNA, was prevented from having weapons for life and was banned from communicating with the victim while in jail.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"An Ottawa man is facing additional prison time on intimate partner violence charges.
