OEG Sports & Entertainment and the city of Edmonton have chosen Dialog and HNTB as lead designers for the new Event Park, planned for the current Fan Park site beside Rogers Place in Edmonton\u2019s ICE District.<\/p>\n

The selection comes after an RFP attracted 19 qualified submissions. Dialog previously worked on the ICE District and Rogers Place, while HNTB has designed major venues across North America. The Event Park is envisioned as an indoor-outdoor destination directly connected to Rogers Place, with facilities for concerts, festivals, cultural gatherings and sporting events.<\/p>\n

OEG Sports & Entertainment president and COO Stu Ballantyne says the project will support downtown revitalization and strengthen Edmonton\u2019s reputation as a hub for sports, entertainment and community life. Dialog principal Gerry Doering says the design aims to create a vibrant, adaptable and welcoming venue.<\/p>\n

OEG<\/a> Sports & Entertainment (OEGSE) and the city of Edmonton have selected Dialog<\/a> and HNTB<\/a> as lead designers of the new Event Park, to be located at the current Fan Park next to Rogers Place in Edmonton\u2019s ICE District.<\/p>\n

The selection follows a request for proposals (RFPs) that drew 19 qualified submissions. Dialog has previously contributed to the designs of the ICE District and Rogers Place, while HNTB has designed sports and entertainment venues across North America.<\/p>\n

The Event Park is conceived as an indoor-outdoor entertainment and community destination, connecting directly to Rogers Place. The project calls for expertise in acoustics, staging, sound and lighting for touring acts, headline performances, cultural gatherings, festivals and sporting events. Indeed, OEGSE promises it will be Alberta\u2019s premier multi-use event hub.<\/p>\n
