Jackie Young is reportedly staying with the Las Vegas Aces, with the team finalizing a one-year deal with the guard, per ESPN\u2019s Alexa Philippou<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The contract with Young, a member of the Aces\u2019 core through their three WNBA championships, is reportedly expected to be worth $1.19 million, the regular max for a one-year deal.<\/p>\n

Young was expected to be a key target in a busy WNBA free agency<\/a> landscape. In the end, though, she did not take meetings with any other teams in the league, per Philippou<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Young has been central to the Aces since being selected by the team with the No. 1 overall pick in 2019, earning four consecutive All-Star nods from 2022-2025 and taking home the league\u2019s Most Improved Player award in 2022. The 28-year-old guard averaged 16.5 points, 5.1 assists, 4.5 rebounds per game last year, shooting 35.9% from beyond the arc.<\/p>\n

The signing brings the Aces a step closer to locking up the Big Three on its roster \u2014 Young, A\u2019ja Wilson and Chelsea Gray. Wilson appears to be a lock, telling reporters last week that she doesn\u2019t plan to test the free agency market<\/a>; she is expected to sign a $1.4 million supermax deal, possibly as soon as this week.<\/p>\n

Gray may be a little more up in the air, but the veteran guard has thrived since joining Las Vegas in 2021, and the Aces have a solid chance of bringing her back. Las Vegas also announced<\/a> Thursday that the team has re-signed key bench player Kierstan Bell.<\/p>\n

The Aces have been one of the most dominant teams in the WNBA, winning the WNBA championship in three of the past four years.
