{"id":594707,"date":"2026-04-10T12:04:07","date_gmt":"2026-04-10T12:04:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/594707\/"},"modified":"2026-04-10T12:04:07","modified_gmt":"2026-04-10T12:04:07","slug":"subway-service-resumes-on-part-of-line-2-after-hydraulic-spill","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/594707\/","title":{"rendered":"Subway service resumes on part of Line 2 after hydraulic spill"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Another hydraulic fluid spill shut down subway service on a large section of Line 2 on Friday morning just days after a similar incident caused a major service disruption on the line.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The TTC says the incident happened at around 3 a.m., halting service between Ossington and Woodbine stations for the first hour-and-a-half of the morning rush hour.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">This is the second time this week that a hydraulic oil spill has halted service on a section of the Bloor-Danforth Line. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">TTC CEO Mandeep Lali previously apologized to riders after a spill at Old Mill Station <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cp24.com\/local\/toronto\/2026\/04\/07\/regular-subway-service-on-line-2-resumes-after-oil-spill-causes-lengthy-delay\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.cp24.com\/local\/toronto\/2026\/04\/07\/regular-subway-service-on-line-2-resumes-after-oil-spill-causes-lengthy-delay\/\">shut down subway service for several hours between Kipling and Jane stations<\/a> on Tuesday. At that time, the TTC vowed to investigate the incident to prevent future, similar service disruptions. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cThis morning, we let our customers down. I am truly sorry. We know many of you rely on TTC to get to work, school, and essential commitments.
