If you follow Apple closely, it\u2019s been a very busy week for iPhone Fold rumors.<\/p>\n
Previous reports this week said the foldable might be delayed<\/a> by several months, then a more reputable report<\/a> countered that a September launch is still planned. We also got to see dummy models<\/a> side-by-side with iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, plus a follow-up video<\/a>. There was also a claim<\/a> that the foldable will be called \u2018iPhone Ultra.\u2019<\/p>\n Now to close out the week, three more foldable iPhone-related posts have arrived from reputable Weibo leakers.<\/p>\n Leaker Instant Digital has corroborated the prior claim of \u2018Ultra\u2019 naming for the foldable. In a new post<\/a>, he lists out three model names: iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, iPhone Ultra. The latter, per his post, is a reference to the foldable.<\/p>\n We\u2019re still several months away from the fall launch, so naming plans could always change. But with two notable leakers supporting the \u2018iPhone Ultra\u2019 branding, that seems likely to be Apple\u2019s direction.<\/p>\n Next, Fixed Focus Digital has a pair of new foldable-related posts.<\/p>\n In one post<\/a>, he addresses release timing. Adding weight to the Bloomberg claim of the foldable being \u201con track\u201d for a September launch, here\u2019s his translated post:<\/p>\n It\u2019s definitely coming out this year\u2026 Production lines are already in the final stages of processing.<\/p>\n The most likely scenario is that it will be launched alongside the iPhone 18 series. Even if there\u2019s a delay, it will only be a one-month postponement.<\/p>\n He also says<\/a> that Apple has increased foldable display inventory by 20%, with an initial stock of 11 million units.
