Anna Wintour\u2019s reputation has always preceded her, and the release of Lauren Weisberger\u2019s 2003 novel \u201cThe Devil Wears Prada\u201d<\/a> \u2014\u00a0which was promptly adapted into a 2006 big-screen blockbuster \u2014 made the editor an even bigger global icon.<\/p>\n And just in time for the sequel, the Vogue boss is getting in on the fun, having posed for the cover of her own glossy<\/a> alongside Meryl Streep, who plays her onscreen alter ego, Miranda Priestly.<\/p>\n Anna Wintour agreed to appear on the cover of Vogue for the first time ever for May 2026 \u2014\u00a0posing alongside Meryl Streep, who plays a fictionalized version of the editor in \u201cThe Devil Wears Prada.\u201d Annie Leibovitz<\/p>\n Vogue is leaning all the way into the \u201cDevil\u201d drama, with new head of editorial content Chloe Malle interviewing three former Wintour assistants on the brand\u2019s \u201cThe Run-Through With Vogue\u201d podcast<\/a> this week.<\/p>\n Speaking with Sache Taylor, Sammi Tapper and Marley Marius \u2014 who all worked in \u201cAnna\u2019s office\u201d for between one and four years, spanning from 2017 to October 2025 \u2014 Malle asked the trio to compare their real-life experience with the book and film.<\/p>\n Below, some of the biggest revelations from the chat.<\/p>\n The interview process<\/p>\n What to wear when you\u2019re campaigning to be one of two (or, in more lucrative times, three) assistants to the EIC of all EICs?
