After a 10-day mission, the Artemis II mission\u2019s Orion spacecraft is returning to Earth \u2014 and multiple TV networks and streaming platforms are carrying the event live on Friday.<\/p>\n
According to NASA, the Artemis II mission is scheduled to splash down off the coast of San Diego at approximately 8:07 p.m. EDT (5:07 p.m. PDT) on Friday. Following splashdown, recovery teams will retrieve the crew using helicopters and deliver them to the USS John P. Murtha.<\/p>\n

All told, the spacecraft\u2019s four-person crew is expected to have traveled a total of 695,081 miles from launch to splashdown. The spacecraft passed within 4,070 miles of the Moon\u2019s surface during its closest approach.<\/p>\n
