WEYMOUTH, Mass. \u2013 The Boston College women’s tennis team (9-12, 1-10 ACC) upset No. 24 Clemson (16-7, 6-5 ACC), 4-2, Friday night at the Weymouth Club.

\nClemson opened up the scoring defeating Olivia Cutone<\/a> and Leyden Games<\/a>, 6-2 in No. 3 doubles. The Eagles fought back, responding in No. 2 doubles with a 7-5 win by Tola Glowacka<\/a> and Bella Camacho<\/a>. Olivia Benton<\/a> and Seren Agar<\/a> fought to the finish to earn the doubles point, taking an early advantage headed into singles play.

\nClemson opened singles play scoring, defeating Agar at No. 2 singles. Freshman Olivia Cutone<\/a> earned her first conference singles victory at No. 6, defeating her opponent in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3. The Tigers recorded another victory in No. 5 singles, defeating Nadia Barteck<\/a> to even the score, 2-2. Newcomer Bella Camacho<\/a> defeated her opponent 6-4, 6-4 at No. 4 singles to give the Eagles back the lead, 3-2. #124 Olivia Benton<\/a> sealed the deal for the Eagles with a victory at No. 1 singles, 7-6, 6-2.
