Nabbing a novice driver travelling more than 50 km\/h over the speed limit has led to charges for a Brampton man, police say.<\/p>\n
The traffic stop happened on Wednesday while an officer with the Middlesex County OPP was on patrol and spotted a speeding driver, police say.<\/p>\n
The driver was clocked going more than 50 km\/h over the 80 km\/h limit, police say.<\/p>\n
Police say the 21-year-old novice male driver was arrested, and the charges suggest the man refused to provide a breath sample and had an open liquor container.<\/p>\n
The male driver from Brampton has been charged with multiple offences, including failure or refusal to comply with demand, dangerous operation, and driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor.<\/p>\n
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to make a court appearance on May 14.<\/p>\n
