Paris Fury has spoken out about her 16-year-old daughter Venezuela\u2019s engagement after Tyson\u2019s father, John, made negative comments about the teenager being in a relationship at a young age.<\/p>\n

Ahead of Tyson\u2019s comeback fight against Russia\u2019s Arslanbek Makhmudov on Saturday (April 11), all eyes are on the Fury family.<\/p>\n

In recent weeks, a feud between Tyson and his father, John<\/a>, has emerged, with the elder suggesting he wants his son to retire rather than make a comeback following his 16-month hiatus from professional boxing.<\/p>\n

John claimed that the pair\u2019s relationship had been \u201cdestroyed\u201d, while also stating that he believes the heavyweight is \u201cpast his best\u201d.<\/p>\n

The 37-year-old retired for the fifth time after his second successive defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in December 2024, but has since admitted that boxing is an \u201cobsession\u201d that has \u201calways dragged\u201d him back.<\/p>\n

This comes just weeks after John suggested that \u201ca 15-year-old should never have a boyfriend\u201d during a clip of the upcoming Netflix series At Home with the Furys<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Tyson\u2019s daughter Venezuela got engaged to her then boyfriend, Noah Price, on her 16th birthday back in September 2025, with both her mother and father showing their support.<\/p>\n

Also in the trailer, Noah is seen asking Tyson for permission to marry his daughter, in line with tradition.<\/p>\n

The British heavyweight can be heard saying: \u201cYou wanna marry her? You sure this is what you wanna do?\u201d<\/p>\n

Now, six months on, Paris<\/a> has spoken out about her daughter\u2019s decision, admitting that there is a part of her \u201cthat is a little sad\u201d.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the Press Association, Paris, who married Tyson in 2008, said: \u201cThere\u2019s a part of me that is a little bit sad that it\u2019s all happened so soon, because I still feel like I\u2019m so young, and I feel like my kids\u2026 imagine my brain, they\u2019re all babies and they\u2019re all at home,\u201d she shared.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut obviously, Venezuela is a young woman. She\u2019s 16 years old. She makes her own choices in life.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut on the other hand, the mirror image \u2014 I think she is so lucky. Like, you\u2019ve met this person that you want to spend your life with. I did the same thing at 17.\u201d<\/p>\n

Paris finished by saying that she thinks it\u2019s \u201cbeautiful\u201d that her daughter has \u201cfound what she wants\u201d.<\/p>\n

The 36-year-old mother of seven then offered her thoughts on her husband\u2019s return to the ring.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m happy for him,\u201d she admitted. \u201cIt\u2019s what he wanted, and I knew it\u2019s what he wanted.
