The AEW star has <a href=\"https:\/\/411mania.com\/wrestling\/adam-copeland-shares-timeline-for-his-wrestling-retirement\/\" target=\"new\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">spoken in the past<\/a> about how he knows his time is limited in the ring at this point, and is just trying to enjoy the ride while it lasts.<\/p>\n<p>Copeland was asked during his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/1257080\/aew-dynasty-adam-copeland-the-edge-percy-jackson-interview\/\" target=\"new\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">interview<\/a> with TV Insider\u2019s Scott Fishman if he\u2019s thought about it more with the recent retirements of AJ Styles and John Cena.  He explained why he hasn\u2019t and said that he doesn\u2019t think much about his final run as he\u2019s just there to \u201cshow up and have fun.\u201d  You can see the highlights below:<\/p>\n<p>On Whether Cena &amp; Styles\u2019 Retirement Make Him Think About His Own:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo, because I already beat them to the punch about 15 years ago. I already had one. My dream scenario would be as a heel and to get dragged out of the building kicking and screaming.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On If He Considers This His Encore:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI honestly don\u2019t put that much thought in it [laughs]. I just show up and have fun. I don\u2019t put any parameters and pressures on it. It\u2019s the job I\u2019ve wanted to do since I was a kid. It\u2019s the type of thing that if I can feel I can still do it, I\u2019ll do it. Is the end closer than the beginning? Absolutely. Of course, but I can\u2019t say I think about it a lot. Honestly, when I\u2019m home away from wrestling I don\u2019t think about wrestling.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On Having That Mentality:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeah, that\u2019s the mentality I learned over time over being massively obsessed with this thing. I do think you need to go through a period of that in your career. I think in order to get to the place you want to go you probably have to be that everything is about the job. That\u2019s pre-family, pre-kids, pre all of those things. Coming back after being retired for nine years, it\u2019s all gravy. If I was only to get one match back, it\u2019s  success.
