He was pronounced dead on the way to hospital. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"\" class=\"c-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/TQPIIWDZAVHCBKAIT3DWYP332A.jpeg\"  width=\"800\" height=\"450\"\/>OPP OPP investigating after a two-vehicle crash on Highway 401 eastbound Sunday August 10, 2025 (CP24 photo). <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The 29-year-old driver of the second vehicle sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police say the eastbound Highway 401 express lanes remain closed at Eglinton Avenue, with no access from northbound Highway 427. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">All lanes are expected to reopen by noon.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Fatal crash EB <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Hwy401?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">#Hwy401<\/a> approaching Dixon Rd.  3:53am.
