Ebert, who allegedly struck Bill Yates with his car, is currently being <a href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/news\/ex-turnstile-guitarist-brady-ebert-arrested-for-attempted-murder-of-brendan-yates-father\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">held<\/a> on second-degree attempted murder charges, though he has claimed he acted in self-defense.<\/p>\n<p>Before Yates and his bandmates\u2014Franz Lyons, Daniel Fang, Pat McCrory, and Meg Mills\u2014showed up on stage, Yates\u2019 father appeared on screen and, in a prerecorded message, spoke directly to fans:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m Bill Yates, I\u2019m the proud father of Brendan. They\u2019re all sons of mine. They\u2019ve been practicing in the house for about 13 years now. Just recently they vacated the basement. They\u2019re at a point where there larger the venue the better, because they just enjoy the energy. To all the fans out there, we love you and Turnstile loves you and enjoy the ride.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Turnstile then appeared and went right into \u201cNever Enough,\u201d the title track off their <a href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/reviews\/albums\/turnstile-never-enough\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">most recent album<\/a>.
