Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is headed back to Miami, Fla., as UFC 327<\/a> goes down later TONIGHT (Sat., April 11, 2026) inside Kaseya Center. Headlining the Paramount+<\/a>-streamed event will be Jiri Prochazka facing off against Carlos Ulberg for the vacant Light Heavyweight title. In the co-main event, Azamat Murzakanov will battle former Middleweight title contender, Paulo Costa, in a 205-pound affair.<\/p>\n

Jiri Prochazka had one of the shortest reigns in UFC championship history, winning the belt in 2022 by submitting<\/a> an over-the-hill Glover Teixeira in the fifth and final round at UFC 275, and then later vacated the strap as a result of an injury<\/a>. Since then, he has come up short in his bid to reclaim the strap on two occasions, suffering two knockout defeats at the hands of Alex Pereira (see them here<\/a> and here<\/a>). Now, \u201cDenisa\u201d will get one more chance to win the belt after back-to-back wins over Jamahal Hill and Khalil Rountree Jr. when he goes up against rising star, Carlos Ulberg. Other than his aforementioned defeats to \u201cPoatan,\u201d Prochazka has been perfect inside the Octagon with six stoppage wins, so he has the skills to become and remain champion for a while. He obviously prefers to stand-and-bang, and when he hits people he hurts them and finishes them in impressive fashion because 28 of his 32 wins have come by way of knockout.<\/p>\n

In Ulberg, however, Prochazka will find a willing dance partner who isn\u2019t afraid to go toe-to-toe as eight of his 13 wins have come by way of knockout. Ulberg had an interesting run to a title shot, making his MMA debut in 2011 but only competing four times in a 10-year span before making his UFC debut in 2021 after wowing Dana White on the Contender Series. And while he stumbled out of the UFC gates with a loss in his debut, he has since racked up nine straight wins, including his last big three wins over former champion Jan Blachowicz and ex title contenders Dominick Reyes and Volkan Oezdemir. Now, \u201cBlack Jag\u201d is ready to put the cherry on top of his impressive run. He will have a tough task to say the least since Jiri is as experienced and battle-tested as they come. Either way, this has the potential to be an all-timer.<\/p>\n

Joshua Van was in line to defend his Flyweight bout for the first time against Tatsuro Tiara in the co-headlining bout before he came down with a minor injury<\/a>. As a result, the promotion re-booked the fight to go down at UFC 328 on May 9. <\/a><\/p>\n

A welterweight bout between Francisco Prado and Christopher Alvidrez was originally scheduled for this event before Alvidrez withdrew from his UFC debut bout for unknown reasons and replaced by Charles Radtke. Prado is currently on a three-fight losing streak, while Radtke is coming off a submission win over Daniel Frunza.<\/p>\n

Beneil Dariush and Manuel Torres were expected to meet in a Lightweight bout before Torres bowed out with an injury, leading the cancellation of the fight. Also, Vicente Luque was set to meet Kyle Daukaus before the promotion opted to book Daukaus against Bo Nickal at Freedom 250.<\/a> As for Luque, he will now battle Kelvin Gastleum.<\/p>\n

How The \u2018Prelims\u2019 Look:<\/p>\n

Aaron Pico looked great in his UFC debut against Lerone Murphy\u2026up until he didn\u2019t<\/a>. The former Bellator MMA standout was piecing up Murphy before \u201cThe Iceman\u201d iced the wrestling powerhouse with a spectacular spinning back elbow, ruining his first-ever UFC fight (see it again here<\/a>). Now, he will attempt to secure his first UFC win against his former stablemate, Patricio Pitbull. The two men competed under the Bellator banner for years, and while many had longed for a fight between the two in never came to be. Now, they will finally cross paths on the biggest stage of them all. Pitbull also stumbled out of the gates in his UFC debut by coming up short against Yair Rodriguez before bouncing back in his sophomore effort against Dan Ige. This should be a great fight, though some feel Pitbull is entering the twilight of his career, while Pico needs a win in a big way in order to prevent a disastrous start to his UFC career and suffer the same fate as another one of his former Bellator brothers. <\/a><\/p>\n

Kelvin Gastelum and Vicente Luque\u2019s stocks have taken hits over the last few years. Gastelum was at one point fighting for the title against Israel Adesanya, while Luque \u2014 loser of two straight \u2014 had big fights against Belal Muhammad, Geoff Neal, and Rafael dos Anjos. Now the two men\u2019s paths will meet on the undercard of a major numbered event. It\u2019s a big fall but this is the chance for one of them to work their way up to main card status.<\/p>\n

Tatiana Suarez was at one point considered to be a future champion but she came up short in her bid to prove her supporters right after losing against Zhang Weili at UFC 312. She did bounce back with a big win over Amanda Lemos and wants to keep that momentum going when she goes up against Loopy Godinez, winner of two straight including a big victory over Jessica Andrade.<\/p>\n

Winner of seven straight, Chris Padilla is on a roll after winning his first four fights under the UFC banner, three via stoppage. Now, \u201cTaco\u201d is out to put on another performance with another big win against MarQuel Mederos, who is just as hot with nine straight wins including three in a row inside the Octagon.<\/p>\n

Kevin Holland currently finds himself in the midst of another two-fight losing streak, his fifth such streak with the promotion. Being inconsistent like that will be just good enough to keep him on the roster but he will never get into the Top 5 or sniff a title fight. He will look to avoid his first-ever three-fight losing streak when he battles Randy Brown, loser of two of his last three.<\/p>\n

Paulo Costa is once again back at Light Heavyweight <\/a>as he takes rising contender, Azamat Murzakanov. Costa was able to snap his two-fight losing streak in his previous outing by defeating Roman Kopylov in a Middleweight showdown. Costa is going to find the waters a bit rougher against Murzakanov since the Russian big man is undefeated at 16-0 with 12 knockouts. He is 6-0 inside the Octagon. He is coming off back-to-back knockouts at the hands of Brendson Ribeiro and Roman Kopylov, both in the very first round.<\/p>\n

Josh Hokit has taken a rather interesting approach <\/a>to marketing himself when a mic is put in front of his face. While we have seen several fighters take the gimmick approach such as Colby Covington and Chael Sonnen, Hokit\u2019s is interesting to say the least. It\u2019s hard to make sense of it at times because it\u2019s all over the place<\/a>. And he doesn\u2019t just take aim at his opponents, he targets other fighters that are out of reach at the moment and in separated divisions such as Alex Pereira and Prochazka. Cringe tactics aside, Hokit has proven himself inside the cage with two knockouts wins. Overall, he has won all of his fights via stoppage and UFC matchmakers felt that two wins was good enough to book him up against Curtis Blaydes, the No. 4 ranked fighter<\/a> in the division when he himself isn\u2019t in the Top 15<\/a>. This will be huge for his career if he can get a win, while \u201cRazor\u201d can get a bump in his stock by stopping Hokit\u2019s momentum.<\/p>\n

There was a time when Dominick Reyes and Johnny Walker were considered threats to Jon Jones. Reyes did take \u201cBones\u201d to deep waters once upon a time at UFC 247, but his career took a tumble since that loss by going just 3-4. As for Walker, he made a splash right away and people were already salivating at the mouth at a potential collision between he and Jones, though it never came because the towering Brazilian hasn\u2019t been too consistent with picking up an impressive string of wins. Now, the two longtime veterans will collide in a bout years in the making.<\/p>\n

I can\u2019t understand why a fight between Cub Swanson and Nate Landwehr \u2014 who is coming off back-to-back defeats \u2014 gets to open up the main card.<\/a> Landwehr doesn\u2019t exactly scream star-power and while Swanson has always been a fan-favorite he has alternated wins and losses over the last six years. I get that in the grand scheme of things it doesn\u2019t exactly matter since all fights are now streaming on Paramount+<\/a>, but for my money I would have like to see Aaron Pico vs. Patricio Pitbull get the main card treatment. Then again, I guess it\u2019s UFC\u2019s way of sending Swanson off the right way<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Other than Islam Makhachev, Mateusz Gamrot, is the only man to ever defeat Arman Tsarukyan inside the Octagon. Since that big win in 2022, Gamrot has only managed to go 4-3, which hasn\u2019t done much to improve his spot in the Top 15 \u2014 he currently sits at No. 8<\/a> and was last seen losing to Charles Oliveira in Oct. 2025. He will face Esteban Ribovics, who is coming off a win over Elves Brener.<\/p>\n
