To receive updates on where hydrant flushing is taking place, follow the municipality on X/Twitter and on Facebook.
While flushing is taking place, customers are asked to avoid excessive water use (Example: running tap water for extended periods, using the washing machine and dish washer simultaneously).
Customers in the immediate areas may experience intermittent pressure fluctuations and some discolouration of tap water while flushing is being completed. This does not affect the safety or quality of your water.
If coloured water has been experienced, customers should run the cold water tap closest to the water meter for a few minutes until tap water runs clear. Customers are advised to wait until the water runs clear at the tap before doing laundry or running the dishwasher. Using discoloured water in your washing machine could result in stained laundry.
For more information, contact the County of Prince Edward at 613.476.2148 extension 1023, 613.962.9108 extension 1023, or info@pecounty.on.ca.

PohSmith / Depositphotos.com The County of Prince Edward’s watermain flushing and hydrant maintenance program will begin on…

[22
3735,3736,49,48,295,44,3733,3731,3734,3729,3730,3737,66,3732
0":"post-599356","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-environment","8":"tag-bancroft","9":"tag-brighton","10":"tag-ca","11":"tag-canada","12":"tag-environment","13":"tag-news","14":"tag-pec","15":"tag-picton","16":"tag-prince-edward-county","17":"tag-quinte","18":"tag-quinte-news","19":"tag-quinte-west","20":"tag-science","21":"tag-trenton
["GET
