Another week, another busy One UI 8.5 beta rollout. This week, Samsung released the first One UI 8.5 beta<\/a> for devices like the Galaxy S23 series and Galaxy A36. At the same time, newer beta builds went live for models like the Galaxy S25 series and Galaxy S24 lineup. Samsung also brought beta community pages public for the Galaxy S23 FE and Galaxy A35, while the S23 FE appeared with its first beta build on test servers. On the update side, the company mainly focused on expanding the April 2026 security patch<\/a>. Last updated on April 12.<\/p>\n

One UI 8.5 beta expands to more models while April 2026 security patch rollout continues<\/p>\n

Starting with the Galaxy S25 series, the Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra received their eighth\u00a0One UI 8.5 beta update<\/a> in select regions. The release was labelled as One UI 8.5 Beta 8 for S25 users in India and Poland. It brings AirDrop support, allowing users to send and receive files from iPhones via Quick Share.<\/p>\n

Next, Samsung released the second One UI 8.5 beta for the Galaxy S24 series and Galaxy S25 FE. The Galaxy S24 lineup also gets AirDrop support with this update, similar to the S25 phones.<\/p>\n

Moving to the Galaxy S23 series, Samsung rolled out the first One UI 8.5 beta for the Galaxy S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra<\/a>. This expands the beta program to the 2023 flagship lineup. Alongside this, the company also launched the One UI 8.5 beta program for the Galaxy A36<\/a> in regions like India.<\/p>\n

The Galaxy S23 FE has appeared with its first One UI 8.5 beta build<\/a> on test servers, suggesting a beta release could happen soon, possibly next week. Samsung has also made beta community pages live for the Galaxy S23 FE and Galaxy A35 ahead of the expected rollout.<\/p>\n

On the updates side, Samsung mainly focused on expanding the April 2026 security patch to more devices, including flagships, foldables and midrange models. The update fixes 47 security vulnerabilities<\/a> identified by Samsung, Google and its partners. The list is as follows:<\/p>\n
