WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – The\u00a0Hartford men’s tennis team picked up win number three on the season defeating Thomas College by a 6-1 final.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Hawks would take the doubles competition winning #1 and #2 doubles to take the first point. In number #1 doubles freshman Max Poss<\/a> (South Orange, N.J.) and sophomore Jake Short<\/a> (Poughquag, N.Y.) would start it off with a 6-1 win. Sophomore Anthony Pomares<\/a> (Norwich, N.Y.) and freshman\u00a0Yande Simunyola<\/a> (Dawsonville, Ga.) would sweep #2 doubles winning 6-0.\u00a0
\n\tHartford would win all but #5 singles to pick up the 6-1 victory. Poss would win #1 singles by a 7-6, 6-2 final. Simunyola won #2 singles 6-2, 6-4. Short won #3 singles by a 6-1, 6-1 final. Freshman Thomas Andersen<\/a> (Berlin, Conn.) rounded out the scorers for the Hawks winning #6 singles by a 6-3, 7-5 final.\u00a0 <\/p>\n
