The two legendary forwards <a href=\"https:\/\/russianmachineneverbreaks.com\/2026\/04\/12\/sidney-crosby-alex-ovechkin-100th-game-capitals-penguins\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">are playing their 100th career game, regular season and playoffs combined, against one another on Sunday afternoon<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Ovechkin has done battle with Crosby since their dueling rookie seasons in 2005-06, with Malkin in their junior days as Russian players and then in the NHL since the 2006-07 campaign, and with Letang since his rookie 2006-07 season.<\/p>\n<p>The two teams\u2019 head coaches then started all four players for the opening faceoff.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/alex-ovechkin-sidney-crosby-final-faceoff.jpg\" alt=\"Alex Ovechkin takes a faceoff against Sidney Crosby\" width=\"1342\" height=\"895\" class=\"size-full wp-image-590052\"  \/>\ud83d\udcf8: kurly from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patreon.com\/rmnb\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">#crashers<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ovechkin is undecided as to whether he will return in the fall for another season,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/russianmachineneverbreaks.com\/2026\/04\/08\/alex-ovechkin-retirement-decision-summer-nhl-future-capitals-announcement\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">saying earlier this week that he will make that decision in the summer<\/a>.
