{"id":601203,"date":"2026-04-13T13:07:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-13T13:07:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/601203\/"},"modified":"2026-04-13T13:07:08","modified_gmt":"2026-04-13T13:07:08","slug":"sarnia-police-make-more-arrests-in-lambton-college-murder","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/601203\/","title":{"rendered":"Sarnia police make more arrests in Lambton College murder"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sarnia police have arrested two more people while searching for the murder weapon used at a <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/sarnianewstoday.ca\/sarnia\/news\/2026\/04\/11\/murder-investigation-underway-at-lambton-college\">Lambton College shooting<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>At roughly 7 a.m. Sunday, police executed a search warrant at a home on Indian Road in Sarnia.<\/p>\n<p>A woman, who had allegedly been with the suspects on the night of the shooting, was arrested.<\/p>\n<p>Officers then responded to a hotel on Venetian Blvd. in Point Edward.<\/p>\n<p>The Sarnia Police Service (SPS) searched a unit in the hotel, seizing a firearm that it believes was used in the murder of Dane Nisbet.<\/p>\n<p>The weapon is under expert forensic examination currently, but investigators believe the firearm was sourced in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>Police detained a man at the hotel.<\/p>\n<p>The 19-year-old woman has been charged with accessory after the fact to murder, obstructing police, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon, trafficking a firearm, possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, and possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition.<\/p>\n<p>She remains in custody following a bail hearing.<\/p>\n<p>The 19-year-old man is facing charges including accessory after the fact to murder, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, careless storage of ammunition, possession of a prohibited device, possession of a weapon obtained by crime, and possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition.<\/p>\n<p>He remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/sarnianewstoday.ca\/sarnia\/news\/2026\/04\/12\/one-arrested-in-homicide-warrant-issued-for-second-suspect\">Police have previously charged Oudom &#8220;Richard&#8221; Bun, 23, with second-degree murder.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The investigation remains ongoing, with SPS continuing its search for the primary suspect, 24-year-old Kyaw &#8220;Chin&#8221; Doe.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Sarnia police have arrested two more people while searching for the murder weapon used at a Lambton College&hellip;\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":601204,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[2],"tags":[43,44,41,39,42,40],"class_list":{"0":"post-601203","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-headlines","8":"tag-headlines","9":"tag-news","10":"tag-top-news","11":"tag-top-stories","12":"tag-topnews","13":"tag-topstories"},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/601203","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=601203"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/601203\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/601204"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=601203"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=601203"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=601203"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
