Police have charged a Brampton man after he turned himself in following a hit-and-run crash on the weekend.<\/p>\n
The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday while a pedestrian was walking on the sidewalk on the south side of Albion Road in Etobicoke, the Toronto Police Service says.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s when the driver of a red Toyota Corolla travelling westbound on Albion Road crossed over into the eastbound lanes and mounted the sidewalk.<\/p>\n
Investigators say the driver turned himself in to police on Sunday and has since been charged.<\/p>\n
The 58-year old male pedestrian was rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition while the driver fled the scene on foot.<\/p>\n
Two passengers inside the Toyota were also taken to hospital with minor injuries.<\/p>\n
Police say the 40-year-old driver from Brampton has been charged with dangerous operation\/bodily harm, leave accident scene\/bodily harm, dangerous operation\/bodily harm, leave accident scene\/bodily harm.<\/p>\n
