\n\tIn the span of 13 years, BTS<\/a> has gone from small South Korean boy band to one of the biggest global crossover success stories in music history. That means the band members are now included in the same conversations as other big-time artists, including about headlining the Super Bowl or competing with major stars such as Taylor Swift or Bruno Mars on the charts \u2014 both things they addressed in a new Rolling Stone<\/a> cover story.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the piece published Monday (April 13), the septet expressed understandably mixed feelings about performing on the world\u2019s biggest stage someday. Every year, the Super Bowl is viewed by more than a hundred million people \u2014 but the backlash Bad Bunny faced this year for being the event\u2019s first-ever halftime headliner to sing and rap exclusively in Spanish shows that the gig might also open BTS up to criticism as primarily Korean-speaking artists.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMaybe if time goes by, and the thoughts in the people change,\u201d RM told the publication. \u201cAll of the people in the world are watching Parasite, all these great things in Korean culture. So if there\u2019s a chance, we definitely want to someday.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tJimin pointed out, \u201cWe can\u2019t do it unless we\u2019re invited,\u201d while Jin revealed he\u2019s already started imagining what a BTS halftime set would involve. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe cover story comes as BTS claims its third week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 <\/a>with ARIRANG, the band\u2019s first full-length album in six years. Lead single \u201cSWIM\u201d also topped the Billboard Hot 100<\/a>, meaning the septet is unquestionably in the same league as regular chart-toppers such as Swift, Mars and Harry Styles. <\/p>\n

\n\tWhen asked how he feels about those names being BTS\u2019 \u201ccompetitors,\u201d RM was humble. \u201cThey are greater artists than us,\u201d he said of the three Western stars. \u201cWe\u2019re just so small. We\u2019re just a boy band from Korea.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tElsewhere in the piece, SUGA recalled being \u201cway too competitive\u201d with other artists in general in the past, but now, he thinks \u201cwe should enjoy ourselves.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI feel like, in the rush to achieve our goals, we didn\u2019t care so much about our physical and emotional health,\u201d he added. \u201cBut now, we can relax a little, especially since we\u2019re all older. So I think we can have more fun with it now.\u201d<\/p>\n
