Police are searching for the driver of a blue Toyota RAV4 after a pedestrian was critically injured in a hit-and-run crash in Brampton.<\/p>\n
The collision happened on Monday around 5 a.m. at the intersection of Bovaird Drive and McLaughlin Road<\/a>, Peel Regional Police say.<\/p>\n A male pedestrian was crossing from at the intersection when he was struck by a Toyota RAV4 travelling northbound on McLaughlin that made a right-hand turn onto Bovaird.<\/p>\n But police say the man was then hit by two other vehicles, and that the driver of the RAV4 \u201cstopped briefly\u201d before fleeing the scene.<\/p>\n The 28-year-old male pedestrian suffered critical injuries and remains in hospital in life-threatening condition .<\/p>\n Police are asking any motorists or bystanders who were in the area between 5 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. to review dash\u2011camera or cellphone footage for possible sightings of the suspect vehicle.<\/p>\n Investigators have released a picture of the suspect vehicle.<\/p>\n Anyone with information or relevant footage related to this incident is asked to contact investigators by calling 905-453-2121, ext. 3710.
