The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) says that the Lions Gate Bridge was closed in both directions as of 7:55 p.m. on Monday.<\/p>\n
\u201cCurrently, VPD is assisting West Vancouver with an incident on the bridge,\u201d Const. Megan Lui told 1130 NewsRadio.<\/p>\n
Callers to the 1130 NewsRadio newsroom reported that multiple police cars were driving to the bridge.<\/p>\n
They also say that a helicopter is hovering over the area.<\/p>\n
According to DriveBC, the bridge reopened to traffic in both directions shortly before 8:50 p.m.<\/p>\n
Alex Carrigan in the 1130 NewsRadio Traffic Centre says to expect delays due to the one-hour-long closure.<\/p>\n
