\n\tKaty Perry<\/a> is denying Ruby Rose\u2019s \u201csexual assault<\/a>\u201d allegation.<\/p>\n

\n\tA rep for the singer shared a statement after the Australian actress posted on Threads claiming that Perry assaulted her 20 years ago.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe allegations being circulated on social media by Ruby Rose about Katy Perry are not only categorically false, they are dangerous, reckless lies,\u201d says Perry\u2019s rep. \u201cMs. Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tOn April 12, Rose responded to a social media post shared by Complex which included an article about the \u201cI Kissed a Girl\u201d singer\u2019s reaction to Justin Bieber\u2019s Coachella<\/a> set. \u201cKaty Perry sexual assaulted me at spice market nightclub in Melbourne. Who gives a shit what she thinks,\u201d Rose commented<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI was only in my early 20s. I\u2019m now 40. \u201cIt has taken almost 2 decades to say this publicly,\u201d Rose elaborated in a further comment<\/a>. \u201cThough I am so grateful to have made it long enough to find my voice, it just shows how much of an impact trauma and sexual assault takes. Thank you for seeing me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a different response, Rose wrote<\/a> that for her, \u201copening up about [women on women] violence and sexual abuse, seems to be 100 times harder than speaking about the male predators.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Dirty Angels actor detailed the alleged assault in another post<\/a>, writing, \u201cShe didn\u2019t kiss me. She saw me \u2018resting\u2019 on my best friends lap to avoid her and bent down, pulled her underwear to the side and rubbed her disgusting vagina on my face until my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomitted on her.\u201d She followed that up by saying<\/a> that she \u201cchanged\u201d the story in the aftermath to be \u201ca \u2018funny little drunk story\u2019 because I didn\u2019t know how else to handle it.\u201d Afterward, Rose alleged that Perry \u201cagreed to help me get my US visa,\u201d so Rose kept the incident \u201ca secret.\u201d \u201cBut I DID tell yall she wasn\u2019t a good person. Instead I got attacked by.. everyone,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

\n\tRose added<\/a>, \u201cBefore I open up about something incredibly raw and traumatic, I tell myself \u2018it\u2019s ok, you don\u2019t need people to believe you, you just need to get it out of your poor body, before it gives you cancer. But then I see this post and \u2026 tears consume me, in a good way. Thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter Rose said<\/a> that she was \u201cnot interested in filing a report over this,\u201d because she hadn\u2019t \u201cfiled a report for the numerous rapes at the hands of grown men,\u201d she later said that she decided to go to the police. Rose wrote<\/a>, \u201cToday I will be walking into a police station to see if any of my experiences can be investigated. I imagine they are past their statute of limitations, but all the more reason to try.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a post<\/a> early on April 13, Rose gave another update, writing in part, \u201cIf any good witches, or spirit folk, feel so generous as to cast a few protective spells around me, it would be greatly appreciated. I said names inside the station that hold much more power than me and frankly, freak me out. I feel very relieved so far but have no expectations.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThis isn\u2019t the first time Rose has spoken out against the \u201cWoman\u2019s World\u201d singer. In May 2017, the Orange Is the New Black star lashed out against Perry\u2019s song \u201cSwish Swish\u201d on X, calling it a \u201csloppy mess\u201d and accusing her of \u201crebranding as political activist only to ditch it and go low,\u201d per E! News<\/a>. Later, Rose apologized, writing in a now-deleted Tweet, \u201cBeing mean doesn\u2019t suit me and leaves me feeling dirty. Truth is being mean leaves more leaks in your camp than the titanic and I\u2026 get so triggered when I think bullies don\u2019t get held accountable and it makes me think I should say something.. but it\u2019s not [my] place,\u201d she wrote, per E!<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI have always believed strongly that Karma exists and the truth always surfaces however I\u2019m not god and I can\u2019t decide when or how that is,\u201d Rose added. \u201cClearly comes from being bullied in school & wanting to stick up for the underdogs. However I shouldn\u2019t stoop because then the [message]\u00a0is mixed.\u201d<\/p>\n
