10 allegedly \u2018unruly\u2019 passengers removed from flight, arrested at Vancouver airport<\/p>\n

Travellers on a departing flight out of Vancouver International Airport were delayed Saturday as police had to deal with allegedly \u201cunruly\u201d passengers.<\/p>\n
Richmond RCMP were called to YVR around 7:30 a.m. on April 11 for a report of disruptive behaviour aboard a departing commercial flight, which led to safety concerns and resulted in the flight being delayed, according to a news release Tuesday (April 14).<\/p>\n
Police said the passengers were allegedly not complying with flight crew instructions.<\/p>\n
Richmond RCMP at the airport worked with airline staff to safely de-escalate the situation, which resulted in deplaning passengers. There were no injuries reported.<\/p>\n
Ten people were arrested and later released on undertakings. They are scheduled to appear in provincial court in Richmond.<\/p>\n
