Three men from Brampton have been charged after police say they were caught driving around in a stolen vehicle with 3d-printed licensee plates.<\/p>\n
The OPP says officers were on patrol in the area of Mayfield Road and Coleraine Drive in Caledon around 2:40 a.m. on Saturday when they spotted a vehicle with an obstructed licence plate.<\/p>\n
Police say there was a black plastic cover put onto the license plate.<\/p>\n
The officers pulled the vehicle over and discovered the vehicle had been previously reported stolen, and that the vehicle\u2019s license plates were 3D-printed.<\/p>\n
Police say Gagandeep Singh, 26, Tushar, 24, and Sujal, 21, all of Brampton, have been arrested and charged with one count each of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.<\/p>\n
The accused are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville at a later date to answer to their charges.<\/p>\n
The incident has police reminding drivers that obstructing a licence makes it difficult to identify vehicles, enforce traffic laws, and investigate collisions, which undermines public safety and effective law enforcement.<\/p>\n
