Katy Perry<\/a> is denying the sexual assault claims made by actor Ruby Rose<\/a>, who accused the pop star of assaulting her at a nightclub in Australia nearly 20 years ago.<\/p>\n

In a statement shared with the Los Angeles Times<\/a> on Monday, a representative for Perry said the allegations that Rose shared on social media \u201care not only categorically false, they are dangerous reckless lies.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMs. Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named,\u201d Perry\u2019s rep said.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, Rose took to Threads<\/a> to accuse Perry of sexually assaulting her 20 years ago.<\/p>\n

Rose publicly shared her allegations against Perry while commenting on Complex\u2019s social media post about Perry attending Coachella with Justin Trudeau<\/a>. The post made reference to Perry\u2019s comment about Justin Bieber<\/a> having YouTube Premium while he played a number of music videos and clips during his headlining set on Saturday, so that the crowd wouldn\u2019t have to watch ads during his performance.<\/p>\n

\u201cKaty Perry sexual [sic] assaulted me at spice market nightclub in Melbourne. Who gives a s**t what she thinks,\u201d the Orange is the New Black actor wrote.<\/p>\n

Rose claimed that she \u201ctold the story publicly\u201d but \u201cchanged it to be a \u2018funny little drunk story’\u201d because she \u201cdidn\u2019t know how else to handle it.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also alleged that Perry \u201cagreed to help me get my U.S. visa.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I kept it a secret. But I DID tell yall she wasn\u2019t a good person. Instead I got attacked by.. everyone,\u201d Rose claimed.<\/p>\n

A fan responded to Rose and referenced Perry\u2019s 2008 hit song I Kissed a Girl, writing, \u201cShe kissed a girl and you didn\u2019t like it?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShe didn\u2019t kiss me. She saw me \u2018resting\u2019 on my best friends lap to avoid her and bent down, pulled her underwear to the side and rubbed her disgusting vagina on my face until my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomited on her \u2026 not interested in filing a [police] report over this, not when I haven\u2019t even filed a report for the numerous rapes at the hands of grown men,\u201d Rose wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut she is more than welcome to sue me (she won\u2019t, because it happened, I have photos and it was literally in public and witnessed by multiple people). Plus there is so much more that happened in the years leading up to her silly song she won\u2019t want me discussing. The psychological manipulation was strong with that one.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a later post, Rose said she \u201cjust left the police station.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rose shared an update<\/a> on Monday, writing, \u201cAs of this afternoon, I have finalized all of my reports. This means I am no longer able to comment, repost, or talk publicly about any of those cases, or individuals involved.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s going to look like I am ignoring everything from supportive messages, to other people\u2019s experiences, but I am not. This is a standard request from the police and in many ways, quite the relief,\u201d Rose continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can start the healing process now. And temporary move forward. I love you all so much.\u201d<\/p>\n

A representative for Rose did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Global News on Monday.<\/p>\n

Perry was previously accused of sexual misconduct in 2019<\/a> by a model who starred in her 2010 music video for her song\u00a0Teenage Dream.<\/p>\n

Josh Kloss accused the singer of exposing him at a roller skating rink.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was Johny Wujek\u2019s birthday party at moonlight roller way. And when I saw her, we hugged and she was still my crush,\u201d he wrote about the interaction.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut as I turned to introduce my friend, she pulled my Adidas sweats and underwear out as far as she could to show a couple of her guy friends and the crowd around us, my penis. Can you imagine how pathetic and embarrassed I felt?\u201d<\/p>\n

He claimed that Perry\u2019s representatives prevented him from speaking about his experience working with the singer.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just say this now because our culture is set on proving men of power are perverse,\u201d Kloss wrote. \u201cBut females with power are just as disgusting.\u201d<\/p>\n

Perry addressed the claims of sexual misconduct made against her in an interview with the Guardian<\/a> in August 2020.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe live in a world where anyone can say anything,\u201d she said. \u201cI don\u2019t want to say \u2018guilty until proven innocent\u2019 but there\u2019s no checks and balances: a headline just flies, right? And there\u2019s no investigation of what it is.\u201d<\/p>\n

Perry said she has not previously responded to the allegations because she didn\u2019t want to \u201cadd to the noise.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t comment on all the things that are said about me because if I chase that dragon, it would be about true and false-ing my whole life. It\u2019s distracting from the real movement,\u201d she added, referencing the #MeToo movement<\/a>.<\/p>\n
