<\/p>\nYet another restaurant that got its start in Canada\u2019s biggest city is expanding to the GTA, migrating west into one of the province\u2019s biggest shopping centres.<\/p>\n
Anyone who has recently taken a walk through The Food District in Square One might have noticed that a new restaurant is set to move into one of Mississauga\u2019s best-known culinary hubs.<\/p>\n
New signage indicates that The SaiGon Pho and Grill, a restaurant that opened a location near Finch Station in North York a year ago, will call the shopping centre home in the not-too-distant future.<\/p>\n

Frequently referred to as a hidden gem on social media, the restaurant is known for its wide array of Vietnamese classics.<\/p>\n
Menu items include deep-fried spring rolls, fresh shrimp rolls, grilled satay baby octopus, traditional pho (made with beef, beef brisket, beef balls, short rib or chicken), satay pho, noodle soups, vermicelli and grilled meats.<\/p>\n
The restaurant also offers Vietnamese hot and iced coffee, Thai milk tea, milkshakes and beer.\u00a0While the menu is expansive, multiple social media posts laud the chef\u2019s signature dish, the pork-and-seafood Noodle Soup (H\u1ee7 Ti\u1ebfu Nam Vang).\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Food District, which opened to great fanfare in 2019, is home to a number of permanent and pop-up restaurants, including Bao Mama, Big Fat Cookies, Egg Club, Kibo Sushi House, La Carnita, Mogouyan Hand Pulled Noodles, Sweet Jesus, Uncle Tetsu and more.<\/p>\n
The restaurant is certainly not the first to make the jump from the 416 to the 905 this year. Recently, Mercatto opened Mercatto Centrale<\/a>, its first GTA restaurant, in Mississauga\u2019s Port Credit neighbourhood.
