The Lady Toppers are the No. 8 seed in the CUSA Women&#8217;s Tennis Championship.&#13;<br \/>\n\tWKU has won at least 10 matches in each of the last five seasons. It is the second time the program has accomplished the feat, also doing so between the 2009-13 seasons. The Lady Toppers have won 73\u00a0matches over the last five seasons, which is the highest win total over a five-year period in program history.&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Lady Toppers have won the doubles point in eight matches this season and are 8-0 when winning the doubles point.&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/wkusports.com\/sports\/womens-tennis\/roster\/emily-schut\/6127\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6127\" target=\"_blank\">Emily Schut<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/wkusports.com\/sports\/womens-tennis\/roster\/virginia-madueo\/6169\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Virginia Madue\u00f1o<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/wkusports.com\/sports\/womens-tennis\/roster\/barbara-olvera\/6168\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6168\" target=\"_blank\">Barbara Olvera<\/a> each have 10 doubles wins this season.&#13;<br \/>\n\tSchut has 24 doubles wins during her WKU career, which ranks tied for 12th in program history with Karina Ledaja, who had 24 doubles wins from 2002-04.&#13;<br \/>\n\tMadue\u00f1o has led WKU in singles this season with her 16-4 record. She is 6-1 at the No. 3 position and has won her last three matches. The 16 singles wins are tied for fifth-most in a single season in program history, and only <a href=\"https:\/\/wkusports.com\/sports\/womens-tennis\/roster\/rachel-hermanova\/5552\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"5552\" target=\"_blank\">Rachel Hermanova<\/a> has more singles wins in a season as a true freshman in program history. Hermanova had 19 singles wins during the 2022 season as a freshman.&#13;<br \/>\n\tOlvera enters the conference tournament with an 11-10 record in singles play, with four wins at the No. 4 position.&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/wkusports.com\/sports\/womens-tennis\/roster\/ariadna-fernandez\/6130\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6130\" target=\"_blank\">Ariadna Fernandez<\/a> is 10-6 in singles, with three wins at the No. 5 position.&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/wkusports.com\/sports\/womens-tennis\/roster\/isabelle-einess\/6129\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6129\" target=\"_blank\">Isabelle Einess<\/a> and Schut each have nine wins in singles this spring.&#13;<br \/>\n\tSchut has 24 singles wins during her WKU career, which is tied for 13th-most in program history.&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/wkusports.com\/sports\/womens-tennis\/roster\/elizabeth-sobieski\/6128\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6128\" target=\"_blank\">Elizabeth Sobieski<\/a> has four singles wins, all at the No. 6 position.&#13;<br \/>\n\tHead Coach <a href=\"https:\/\/wkusports.com\/sports\/womens-tennis\/roster\/coaches\/greg-davis\/1256\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"1256\" target=\"_blank\">Greg Davis<\/a> now has 348 career wins as a head coach. He entered the season tied for 23rd nationally in wins among active NCAA Division I Women&#8217;s Tennis head coaches with at least five years as a Division I head coach, counting all victories as a coach at a four-year institution. The Bearkats claimed a 5-2 win in Bowling Green, Kentucky, earlier this season on March 12.&#13;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">&#13;<br \/>\nSCOUTING THE BEARKATS<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tSam Houston went 8-12 overall during the regular season and 3-2 against CUSA opponents.&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Bearkats claimed CUSA wins over WKU, Middle Tennessee and Missouri State, and lost to Louisiana Tech and New Mexico State.&#13;<br \/>\n\tSam Houston is coached by Rob Hubbard.
