Lena Dunham revealed in her new memoir that she cheated on Jack Antonoff with an old flame from her childhood.<\/p>\n
Dunham candidly writes about the end of her and Antonoff\u2019s relationship in \u201cFamesick,\u201d<\/a> which released Tuesday. The \u201cGirls\u201d creator, 39, and the music producer, 42, dated from 2012 to 2017.<\/p>\n Dunham writes that she and Antonoff were not in a good place in their relationship after she got a hysterectomy in 2017 and was quickly becoming more dependent on medication.<\/p>\n During the low point in her and Antonoff\u2019s relationship, Dunham reached out to a man named Nick, whom she describes as her former middle school boyfriend that she had kept in touch with over the years.<\/p>\n Lena Dunham revealed she cheated on Jack Antonoff with her childhood boyfriend. Random House<\/p>\n After telling Nick one night that she wanted him to cheer her up after surgery, the two met up and she asked him to sleep with her.<\/p>\n \u201cIn the cab, we hugged again, and I said this: \u2018I\u2019ve been through something awful. I don\u2019t want to talk about it, but I need you to f\u2013k me and I need you to do all of the work.’\u201d<\/p>\n Dunham recalls the two of them then having sex, writing, she felt a \u201ceuphoria that in recent months only intravenous medication had provided.\u201d<\/p>\n Dunham said she and Antonoff \u2014 seen here in January 2013 \u2014 were at a low-point in their relationship after she got a hysterectomy in 2017. I am a c\u2013t. My intestines are where my womb should go, but look at this, I am alive.\u201d<\/p>\n Dunham continued to sleep with Nick while Antonoff was away on tour. Eventually, she says she couldn\u2019t ignore that she and Antonoff needed to break up.<\/p>\n She recalls sobbing while telling Antonoff one morning over breakfast that they both knew they weren\u2019t making each other happy anymore.<\/p>\n Dunham slept with Nick multiple times before she and Antonoff (pictured here in February 2017) eventually broke it off.
