{"id":604536,"date":"2026-04-15T00:28:09","date_gmt":"2026-04-15T00:28:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/604536\/"},"modified":"2026-04-15T00:28:09","modified_gmt":"2026-04-15T00:28:09","slug":"brampton-collision-leaves-1-dead-another-in-critical-condition-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/604536\/","title":{"rendered":"Brampton collision leaves 1 dead, another in critical condition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One person is dead and another is in hospital with serious injuries after an SUV and a transport truck collided in Brampton. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">A man is dead and a woman is fighting for her life in the hospital following a collision in Brampton on Tuesday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Peel police said an SUV collided with a transport truck in the southbound lanes of Airport Road, just north of Williams Parkway, just before 3:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">When officers and paramedics arrived, they located two occupants of the SUV, a male driver and a female passenger, suffering from life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"\" class=\"c-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/1776212888_964_KBDEGHOXDNEQVPMHTYFKGAVRGM.png\"  width=\"800\" height=\"450\"\/>Ornge ambulance An Ornge air ambulance is seen parked near the scene of a two-vehicle collision in Brampton on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. Mandeep Khatra said both occupants had to be extracted from the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The man was rushed to a trauma centre, where he was pronounced dead, Khatra said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Meanwhile, the woman was airlifted to a trauma centre, and she remains in life-threatening condition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cWe would like to extend our deepest heartfelt condolences to the victim\u2019s family and all those that are impacted by this tragic incident,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The cause of the collision is unknown.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Images from the scene show part of the SUV underneath the rear truck as a result of the collision.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"\" class=\"c-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/1776212889_517_XOZ266HJFVBIJMKU3UAC7GI2DM.png\"  width=\"800\" height=\"450\"\/>Brampton collision An SUV rear-ended a transport truck in Brampton on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
