{"id":604613,"date":"2026-04-15T01:12:09","date_gmt":"2026-04-15T01:12:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/604613\/"},"modified":"2026-04-15T01:12:09","modified_gmt":"2026-04-15T01:12:09","slug":"steamvr-beta-2-16-3-brings-linux-fixes-for-vrlink","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/604613\/","title":{"rendered":"SteamVR Beta 2.16.3 brings Linux fixes for VRLink"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Seems SteamVR for Linux really is getting some more attention recently, after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamingonlinux.com\/2026\/04\/steamvr-beta-brings-a-number-of-fixes-for-linux-gamers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">a number of fixes in the previous Beta<\/a> we have a few more here.<\/p>\n<p>Valve released SteamVR Beta 2.16.3 on April 13th with the Linux fixes this time focusing on VRLink which allows you to wirelessly stream games to certain VR sets via Steam Link including Meta, HTC and PICO Headsets.  <\/p>\n<p>The changelog:<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>SteamVR:<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\nAdd protection from hangs in vrserver on exit.&#13;<br \/>\nSpeculative fix for Varjo headsets not having a display.&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>VRLink:<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\nOn Linux, pick the best GPU for VR and streaming rather than using first enumerated device.
