The Vancouver Canucks are playing their final regular-season home game at Rogers Arena on Tuesday night, and the NHL team says it will take advantage of the opportunity by hosting Fan Appreciation Night.<\/p>\n
While the action inside starts at 7 p.m., fans are recommended to arrive early because the team is expected to make a grand entrance across the Blue Carpet\u00a0on the\u00a0North\u00a0Plaza of Rogers Arena.<\/p>\n
The Party on the Plaza is scheduled to kick off after 4 p.m., and fans will be able to take photos of their hockey team favourites.<\/p>\n
The Canucks will also give away a special price.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will be celebrating the 50-millionth\u00a0fan to enter Rogers Arena,\u201d the team said in a written statement.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo honour this milestone, one lucky fan will win the ultimate Rogers Arena experience:\u00a0a pair of tickets to every event at Rogers Arena for the next year across Canucks, Warriors, and Live Entertainment.\u201d<\/p>\n
Another 8,000 fans are in to win smaller prizes, such as team store discounts and\u00a0free food and beverage\u00a0items.<\/p>\n
While the team has had a rough season and will place last in the NHL standings, players will arrive in downtown Vancouver with the spirit to win.<\/p>\n
\u201cObviously, we haven\u2019t been great at home this whole year, and I think if we could at least go out on a high note and get a win for the fans, that\u2019d be awesome,\u201d said winger Brock Boeser.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo we\u2019re going to try to keep this thing rolling and play as hard as we can.\u201d<\/p>\n
That spirit is shared with Vancouver\u2019s head coach, Adam Foote.<\/p>\n
In response to rumours about the coaching carousel around the league, he said he stays in the present.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t think about that. I think about the now. We\u2019re playing hockey, we have L.A. tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Vancouver Canucks will face the Los Angeles Kings.<\/p>\n
