We are working with our partners to continually review and improve the results.<\/p>\n<p>A man is dead and a woman is critically injured after an SUV collided with a transport truck in Brampton on Tuesday, police say.<\/p>\n<p>The collision happened in the southbound lanes of Airport Road, north of Williams Parkway, according to Peel Regional Police. Officers were called to the area at about 3:15 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Firefighters and paramedics extricated the man and woman from the SUV.  They were the only occupants of the vehicle, police say.<\/p>\n<p>The man, who was the driver, was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after he arrived. The woman was airlifted to a trauma centre, where she remains in life-threatening condition. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We would like to extend our deepest heartfelt condolences to the victim\u2019s family and all those that are impacted by this tragic incident,&#8221; acting Sgt.
